Nicholas Kristof doing what he does best: advocating for the promotion of peace through methods that do not rely on the military.

While  I agree whole-heartdly with his message to spend more time/resources on building peaceful societies through cooperation and education, I mostly like this article because he name drops Oman. He says education is one reason why NOT A GODDAMN THING happens in Oman, vs. in its neighboring country, Yemen.

All Omanis go to school for free, including higher education.
